I am a strong supporter of local small businesses. I try to keep my money circulating in our local Southern Oregon economy as much as possible. I began putting this shoot together with those values in mind. I wanted to create a series of images that exclusively showcased the products and talents of our local small businesses. It is my hope that area brides can be encouraged to keep their money completely local for all their wedding needs.

These breathtaking gowns in the following photographs are hand sewn, couture gowns created by one of our Rogue Valley dressmakers. For the cost of an ordinary, off-the-rack dress from one of the national chains, a bride can have a one-of-a-kind custom gown created; a work of art in and of itself. The grooms wardrobe was sourced from a small boutique in the Medford area, the blue velvet sport coat adding a dash of hip to the ensemble. All the florals come from one of our local organic gardens and flawlessly arranged by a one-woman designing company. From the gently domed, decadent chocolate cake to the small-batched chocolate toffees to the vibrant, unusual vintages – all the libation and treats are Southern Oregon exclusives. The beautiful pillar candles are hand poured beeswax from one of Eagle Point’s premier apiary. The venue and props hail from Grants Pass and the wedding bands and gemstone jewelry are handcrafted by area artisans. 2 locals stylists created the hair and makeup looks for our models.
