Magination Images – Southern Oregon Photographer – The rich colors of early autumn

Around the middle of October, my phone and email get completely swamped with folks wanting portraits set against the vibrant colors of the autumn trees.  Our trees come into their fullness of color typically the last week of October/the first week of November.  I always encourage my clients to consider an earlier shoot, capturing the vibrancy of early autumn.  Though you typically won’t find the deep reds of later in the season, early autumn shoots showcase the brilliant golds and oranges of our deciduous shrubbery.  It also allows us to include some amazing natural blossoms.  One of the greatest perks to scheduling your portrait session earlier in the season is that there is less likely of bad weather.  I typically have to reschedule at least 1/3 of my November sessions due to rain.  It’s the pits.  It’s frustrating for the client and equally as frustrating for me.  The images below are of an adorable senior girl, photographed in the Valley in the middle of September.  The colors are just to die for!
