Jaden and Abe were married on an overcast afternoon with the gorgeous Smith River meandering mere yards behind them. The event took place at the bride’s father’s house and much care was put into preparing for the special day. Flowers were planted months in advance, solid wood pews were brought in for the ceremony and I arrived to dozens of people buzzing around, lovingly helping pull everything together. Jaden was a dream bride. Her joyful countenance radiated around her and her excitement was absolutely contagious. When one of her bridesmaids discovered that she had been given the wrong gown by the vendor, Jaden embraced the mixup with humor and grace. I eventually made my way over to where the groomsmen were getting ready and was treated to one of the most entertaining 20 minutes of my life. The groom comes from a large family…a large family of performers. Never had I ever wished so much to be a videographer instead of a photographer, as comedic impromptu, beat-boxing and harmonic a cappella filled that 12′ by 12′ room. The ceremony was nothing short of a fairy-tale romance and the formal photography that followed was super enjoyable for me – both on an artistic and personal level. The entire wedding party was gregarious and eager to take direction. During the reception, family and guests blessed us with their musical performances. It was quite a show. All in all though, the centerpiece of the event was the palpable love that Jaden and Abe share.
